Training. Day 1 starts today. Weird that I decided to start on a Saturday. Better to begin today than wait for “tomorrow”, which happens to be my favorite word when dealing with diet and exercise.. ha! From this point on, no more excuses and no more tomorrows.
I met a guy yesterday who has won several bodybuilding titles over the years… he inspires me greatly. his words—“Anyone can do it, its all about dedication and diet”. He made it clear that I didn’t give this lifestyle a fair chance, 6 weeks in was my max and I saw great results, I have no clue why I gave up. Now i am stuck back at square one, But with maximum dedication and inspiration to not give up. 18 weeks, here I come.
Now don’t get my words twisted, in no means am I trying to become a state champ bodybuilder with muscles the size of watermelons, But when you break down the word BODYBUILDING to read BODY and BUILD, working out to achieve your dream physique is exactly what that is. You workout, building your body and transforming it.
Animal Pak, great inspiration! Here is a little piece of their words. And hopefully you will start to understand better, why we are what we eat… Its all about deciding what’s best for you. Food is supposed to give you energy, not make you tired.
“Let me ask you this—if fat is what makes you fat and you can have your pick of everything from lowfat cheese to lowfat peanut butter (seemingly a contradiction of the very nature of these foods) then why the fuck is everyone so damn fat?! You’ve seen it yourself. People have gotten and continue to get fatter and fatter and fatter. Interesting huh? You’re damn right it is. It’s interesting because it makes no fucking sense and people continue to do it.
“If I eat food that tastes great, I feel like shit… If I eat food that tastes like shit, I feel great”
Its all about putting the right fatty acids, amino acids and vitamins in your body to make sure your metabolism is at its best.
This is what I take daily, or at least try to… remembering is the hardest part! haha.
-Fish Oil, Multi-vitamin, Vit-C, Echinacea, going to add in flax seed as soon as I pick up my own bottle :)
THERE you have it, hopefully someone else out there can get inspired … and even if it doesn’t, blogging about it will sure help me keep at it and not give up!
READY, SET, GO!
